Log press deserves its own day

I came to the conclusion that after working my triceps with heavy cg bench Thursday I am not recovered enough for good log pressing on Saturday, event day. Moving them to my shoulder day Monday just makes sense. It also frees up more time to train the other events on the weekend I need to be outside for and need daylight.

Of course since I did press Saturday I didn't go crazy today

Californias Strongest Man Training week 2 A trip to Fresno

Drove to Fresno this morning to get some training at Athletic Performance to train with OB.

There was a lot of the regulars training which was a nice surprise along with some new faces as well

Started off with Log for max

did a few beltless yoke walks with 500lb yoke I think 5 it was shaky at first then I ended with a nice 100ft or so run that was pretty quick

Just did 2 reps with 260 stone no tacky. I didn't feel like tackying up and got caught up in what everyone else was doing. I should have used tacky and hit some bigger stones

Hook grip deads and heavy keg

went to bed feeling like shit my throat is all scratchy I think my system is still not recovered from that stomach virus I got. Im gonna limit the eating completly cut out gluten for awhile give my body some time to recovery. Still felt strong though! just awful.........

deadlift feels great im about to pull some big numbers again just easing back in slowly no hurry. Last week I couldn't hook grip the 455 this week I did it for 3 and it was way smoother and better.
I am still having a problem where my first rep i am putting my hips to low than its all straightened out and I get the right position on every rep after.

eh decent day not great not bad I think my squat is most effected by the food poisoning and I am really missing that spring from the wraps at the bottom :)  I am really sinking these too!

Monday Night I went out to eat and bone marrow, beef tartar and a 22oz pork chop among other things. Such amazing food I wanted to lift when I got home at midnight! I should have.....
